State of Decay by first-time author James Knapp is nominated for the 2010 Philip K. Dick Award. Quite a way to start a career, we think! This outstanding dystopian future scifi is set in a world with a chilling new breed of zombie—revivors used to fight humanity's wars—and FBI agent Nico Wachalowski begins to uncover the truth about the existence of these undead slaves.
Our congratulations to James! The second book in the series, The Silent Army, is already available, and the third, Element Zero, is coming this April.
