Prentice Hall Press, formerly the trade imprint of Pearson's Prentice Hall Direct division, was moved to Penguin Group USA in 2002. The list comprised business, health, and self-help/popular reference titles. Acquisitions currently focus on popular reference for career, education and business communications with the How To Say It™ series and stand-alone titles in the subject categories. Amongst its bestselling backlist books, in addition to How To Say It by Rosalie Maggio and other titles in the series, are Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas, How to Get into Top MBA Schools by Richard Montauk, and How to Succeed with Women by Ron Louis and David Copeland. Prentice Hall Press is also the long-time publisher of the works of Joseph Murphy, including his signature title, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind.

John Duff, Publisher of the trade paperback imprints Perigee, HPBooks, and Prentice Hall Press, is also a Vice-President and Senior Editor for G. P. Putnam's Sons. A native of Canada, he came to the U.S. with Doubleday where he was Director of Special Interest Publishing until 1992, when he joined The Putnam Berkley Group.
