We rescued her from Willing Hearts Dalmatian rescue. She has taught me patience and the ability to stop and enjoy life. She has many health issues as she ages, but I still enjoy each moment we have together.
Magee is the sunshine of my life. He makes my life so enjoyable.
A weekend camping trip means a special treat... and he loves his rawhide "stogies"! Jerry gives us a reason to smile every day.
This is my sweetie-pie Terrier mix Jordan. She is a svelte 18 years old (whoa, Nellie!) and has been a stellar friend to my ma and me when we moved to Atlanta, Georgia, on our own. A friend found her abandonned on a rushing highway and thought I, as a little 11-yr-old girl, would love her... She was right. When Jordan was young, she taught me to be paitient with her ever-full well of energy; as she grew older, she taught me how showing affection and being silly can ease all changes in life. Though not a service dog officially, her friendship has been a tool for me and my mom to carry throughout our lives.
Most joyful dog ever!
Ganz is my mother's pug; he is a fun-loving, wonderful dog. He is playful and loving toward everyone.
We got Pearl about a year ago, in April 2009. She was a mom at a puppy mill that had recently been raided. We adopted her from a local shelter. She is the happiest dog and fit right into our home, like the missing piece to a puzzle. I had to go to our local Petsmart to see her on a Saturday. We arrived an hour early, and waited and waited to see Pearl. The woman was a bit leery of letting us have her until I mentioned I used to be the past president of the local pug rescue. That immediately put her at ease.

Bootsie came to us at four-months-old as a rescue with severe malnutrition and now chronic IBD/colitis. She is now four years old and enjoying life as well as she can and never ceases to amaze us with her zest and absolute joy for life!
This dog is my heart and soul, a rescue who overcame great horrors to be the best dog ever.
My second rescue. Had a rocky start, but he captured my heart and is now living the good life.
She is my third rescue. What can I say? Three's a charm. She had a horrible beginning but is sure to have a great finish. She's a sweet pea!
I was hesitant after 54 years of never living with a dog whether I'd ever be up to the task.... But I took the plunge, and it was like fate that brought me and Boomer together. He's been my saving angel through several personal storms: selling my home, surviving cancer, healing and building a bridge with my folks who I never thought would love a dog as much as the dog they lost over 30 years ago. Boomer is truly a wonder dog.

Lexie was my very best friend. She was always there when I needed her. I am bipolar and she was the only one that didn't judge me. Three years ago I had to have her put down; she was 10 years old and had cancer. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Even though it's been three years, I still cry over her every time I think about her. I loved her so much.
We rescued Clair from Great Dane Rescue and she gave us more than we could ever give her. She passed last year, but was very happy her last four years.
Bobby Jack is always on a diet with me, but neither of us ever loses any weight because we both love to eat!
The best hound ever!!!! Got Emma when she was eight weeks and fell totally in love. She has made our household much more laughable.
Snowball is one of our rescue dogs. She was in a shelter in Arkansas and was going to be euthanized unless someone spoke up for her. She was with another dog Snuggles (a Shih Tzu). Both dogs had reached their limit in the shelter, and the owner had been incarcerated. We knew no one would adopt Snowball but we couldn't see her being put down. We took both dogs, and Snuggles got adopted and we adopted Snowball. We have had her a year now and just love her to death! She is at least 10 years old and has some medical problems but plays like a puppy and loves life and loves us as much as we love her! Never judge a dog by a picture, because you just never know! She is truly a diamond in the rough!
Lucky is part of the family, a real-life Snoopy beagle who was the best Christmas present my daughter ever receieved. As Lord Byron said about his beloved dog "He possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferosity, and all the virtues of Man without his Vices."

Max was an owner surrender, about to be euthanized in Kentucky. I saw him on Care2, an online animal rescue community. It took about two weeks, many people, and several hundreds of dollars to get him to his forever home with us in Oklahoma. He is 120 pounds of lovable ball-playing crazy man!!
These two little dears were purchased from a puppy mill! Lulu has a lame front leg and Lily never left her cage until she was rescued at six months. They are both tiny and lovable. They cuddle like hamsters in the same bed and snore so loudly we have to turn the volume up on the TV.
Kirby is a two-year old Cavalon with a lot of energy. He loves to go for long walks and swim in the lake. He's very sweet and affectionate.
"I got my paws dirty, daddy, but I just washed them!!!"
"Who?? Me??"
Maggie is an amazing little pug. Ok, not so little - especially in heart. She loves to mother and shares her toys with visitors. And her love has saved my heart.
