HOW TO ENTER

1. To enter the Lock and Key Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes"), (1) Text Message Entry Method: Send a text message with the word "LOCK" from your mobile phone addressed to shortcode 36888. Once you send the text message, you will be entered automatically into the Sweepstakes. You will be charged for all text messages sent and received from your mobile phone according to the terms in your individual calling plan. By entering this Sweepstakes, you are agreeing to receive a wireless message from PGI relating to this Sweepstakes. All entrants must have a text messaging two-way capable mobile phone and digital service in order to enter the Sweepstakes using the text messaging method. (2) Online Entry Method: Fill out the online entry form located on the Sweepstakes page at www.penguin.com/youngreaders (click on "Sweepstakes" under "Features" and then go to "Lock and Key Sweepstakes"), including your first and last name, telephone number and e-mail address. All text message and online entries must be received by May 20, 2008, 11:59:59 pm Eastern Time. Limit one entry per person per wireless or email account.
2. Entries are void if they are in whole or in part illegible or incomplete. No responsibility is assumed for late, lost, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries.
3. Winner will be notified on or around May 23, 2008 by text message and/or telephone (if winner entered by text message), or by e-mail and/or telephone (if winner entered online). The notification to the winner will include instructions on how to receive the prize. Winner must respond within seven (7) days, or will forfeit the prize and another winner will be selected. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted, another winner will be chosen. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

1. From all eligible entries received, one (1) Grand Prize winner will be chosen in a random drawing held on or around May 21, 2008 by Sponsor. Sponsor's decisions concerning all matters related to this Sweepstakes are final and binding.
2. Winner will be notified on or around May 23, 2008 by text message and/or telephone (if winner entered by text message), or by e-mail and/or telephone (if winner entered online). The notification to the winner will include instructions on how to receive the prize. Winner must respond within seven (7) days, or will forfeit the prize and another winner will be selected. 1. One (1) winner will receive a limited edition "Lock and Key" necklace (ARV = $75.00).
2. In the event that there is an insufficient number of entries, Sponsor reserves the right not to award the prize.

ELIGIBILITY

This Sweepstakes is open to residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, ages 13 and older. Employees and their immediate family members living in the same household, of Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries or affiliated companies, or the agencies of any of them and/or author(s) are not eligible for this Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited by law. All state and local restrictions apply.

GENERAL

1. No substitutions, transfers or assignments of prizes allowed. In the event of unavailability, Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
2. All expenses, including taxes, (if any) on receipt and use of prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
3. Winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release ("Affidavit") and if so, the Affidavit must be completed and returned within fourteen (14) days of notification or another winner will be selected. Should the ARV of the prize equal or exceed $600.00, winner shall be required to provide a Social Security Number or a Taxpayer Identification Number to Sponsor for issuance of a 1099 Form.
4. By accepting the prize, winner grants to Sponsor the right to use his/her name, likeness, hometown and biographical information in advertising and promotion materials, including posting on the Sponsor's and author's website, without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
5. By competing in this Sweepstakes and/or accepting the prize, entrants release Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries or affiliated companies, or the agencies of any of them and the author(s) of any books promoted hereby from any and all liability for any loss, harm, injuries, damages, cost or expense arising out of or relating to participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use or misuse of the prize.
6. Any dispute arising from this Sweepstakes will be determined according to the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflict of law principles, and the entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
