OFFICIAL RULES FOR THE BOOK CLUB SWEEPSTAKES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT ENHANCE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Open to legal Continental US residents, ages 13 and older.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. To enter the Book Club Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes"), please submit your full name, e-mail address, mailing address, date of birth, and number of members of your book club (maximum of ten). Limit one entry per person and per e-mail account.
2. Entries can be submitted only via the website and must be received no later than December 22, 2006, 11:59 PM, Eastern Time (ET) to be eligible.
3. Entries are void if they are in whole or in part illegible, incomplete, or damaged. No responsibility is assumed for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries.
4. Penguin Young Readers Group, a division of Penguin Group (USA) Inc., ("Sponsor") and its subsidiaries, affiliated and parent companies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes which may limit the ability to play or participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as described in these rules, Sponsor shall have the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the e-mail account.

1. From all eligible entries received, one winner will be chosen in a random drawing held on or about January 5, 2007 by Sponsor, whose decisions concerning all matters related to this Sweepstakes are final and binding.
2. Winner will be notified via e-mail and/or mail. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

One winner will receive a maximum of ten copies of each of the following books for his or her book club (Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") =$100.00 per set of books):

This Sweepstakes is open to legal Continental US residents, ages 13 and older. Employees and their immediate family members living in the same household of Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliated or parent companies, authors of any of the titles promoted hereby, or the agencies of any of them are not eligible for this Sweepstakes. Void where prohibited by law. All state and local restrictions apply.

1. No substitution, transfer or assignment of prizes allowed. In the event of the unavailability of a prize or prizes, Sponsor may substitute a prize or prizes of equal or greater value.
2. All expenses, including taxes (if any), on receipt and use of prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
3. Winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release ("Affidavit"). The Affidavit must be returned within fourteen (14) days of notification or another winner will be selected. If a selected winner is a minor, his or her parent or legal guardian will be required to sign the Affidavit.
4. By accepting the prize, the winner grants to Sponsor the right to use his or her name, likeness, and biographical information in advertising and promotional materials, including posting on the Sponsor's website, without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
5. By accepting the prize, the winner releases Sponsor, its parent and subsidiaries, and authors of any of the titles promoted hereby, from any and all liability for any loss, harm, injuries, damages, cost or expense arising out of or relating to participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.
6. Any dispute arising from this Sweepstakes will be determined according to the laws of State of New York, without reference to its conflict of law principles, and the entrants' consent to the personal jurisdiction of the State and Federal Courts located in New York County and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
