Dutton's Eric Jerome Dickey Nominated for "Storyteller of the Year" Essence Literary Award

Essence magazine has chosen Dutton Author Eric Jerome Dickey as a finalist for their 2008 Essence Literary Awards. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony tonight at the Parker Meridian Hotel in New York City.

Dickey's most recent novels, Sleeping with Strangers and Waking with Enemies, were New York Times bestsellers. Dutton is releasing his 15th novel, Pleasure, his steamiest work yet, in April, which will surely satisfy old and new fans alike.

Eric's long track record as a successful African-American author earned him this prestigious nod for Storyteller of the Year. The Essence Literary Award is designed to celebrate established and emerging African-American talents. In January, readers got to vote for the author they thought was the best storyteller of the year. As the polls closed, it was evident that Eric Jerome Dickey is a master at his art and a force to be reckoned with.
