Janet and I are thrilled to contribute to the Penguin blog this week. We are beginning our Passion Test - Reclaim Your Power tour this week at the Boulder Bookstore in Boulder, CO, tomorrow night at 7:30 PM (303-447-2074) and then The Tattered Cover in Highlands Ranch in the Denver area on Wednesday at 7:30 PM (303-470-7050).
We'll keep you posted as we travel and do our best to share something useful along the way.
Intention - Attention - No Tension
These three simple principles hold the key to creating anything you choose to have in you life.
Intention: Having a clear picture of what you choose to create. This is the whole purpose of The Passion Test process. "When you are clear, what you want will show up in your life, and only to the extent you are clear."
Attention: "What you put your attention on grows stronger in your life." Give attention to the things that you choose to create. On a practical level, this means do everything you can think to do, then come back to the third principle. . .
No Tension: Let go of your attachment to the outcome. You only have control over the action you take, never over the results. This is why one of the 7 keys to a passsionate life is "Staying Open."
Your job is to get clear on the "what" that truly matters to you, not about the "how." Once you are clear, the how will begin to show itself, and probably in ways you'd have a hard time explaining.
This is one of the reasons we shared Janet's story of pursuing her passion in the book. As you read about the miracles that happened to her, the serendipitous events, the unexpected events, you may find yourself saying, "Can that really be true?"
We assure you, every part of Janet's story is true, and it is no more magical than your story will be when you begin choosing in favor of your passions.
