This year for African-American History Month, we've decided to showcase Penguin books that have been nominated for NAACP Image Awards, as well as some other new releases having to do with African-American history. The NAACP Image Awards are awarded on February 26th. You can visit their website for more details.

A chilling narrative about life under slavery on the island of Jamaica, author Marlon James discusses the differences between slavery and race relations in Jamaica compared to the United States.
