Hey Karen!
I have to say that what I have read so far of the Cassie series has been simply phenomenal! The blend of history and fiction is remarkable and I simply must applaud your ability to keep the plot straight with all the jumps going on through the time stream, most notably where Francoise and Radilla are concerned. I also love how so many of the vamps and ghosts are identifiable of historical super-stars, so to speak, and are so subtley alluded to. Seriously - great work!
Speaking of time lines, however, how exactly does this story fit in with the Cassie series? I mean, when last we heard of Mircea he was having...difficulties...with the geis, so how big a role can he be playing here? Also, I am always curious to know, especially where spin-offs are concerned, just how much they will relate to the - er - other plot stream. Do you plan on bringing them together at any point? After all, Mircea does seem to be a major player in both series so one would think the girls would meet at some point (which, seriously, should be highly anticipated. Estranged daughter meets love-interest (for lack of a better word)? Dude.)
I think Midnight's Daughter sounds like a stroke of brilliance and I wish to all sin I had Cassie's ability to time-shift - if only to make the wait go faster.
