Ha! Good ones.
I actually addressed the hair issue in ETN, because so many people had asked. Long hair was, in many centuries and cultures, a sign of wealth and prominence. The ancient Spartans had long hair, as just one example, while their slaves were required to cut their's short. That kind of prejudice, if ingrained early, would be hard to shake, which is why my older vampires tend to have longer hair (although not in every case). As for the regrowth thing, there are ways to get around that. Vampire body parts are said to regenerate, so why not hair?
For the most part, I've tried to go with what would be most historically accurate. Except for the teeth thing. I know it worked for Austin Powers and Captain Jack, but gray teeth just (shudder) no. My vampires go to the dentist. It's the only thing they fear (grin).
And, no, you weren't the only one to notice the glitch you mentioned. If you read my books, you'll discover that I've been factually accurrate about the, um, circumcision issue.
