As a Wyoming native, I can say that your description of Wyoming's cities is spot-on. I went to school in Laramie and it making "Stalingrad look like San Diego." seems to be my recollection as well. (Though I did once have someone say "Oh, but it's very nice here in the summer." ie June through August.)

"Evanston's not so bad, and the Mormons have to have some place to go buy liquor and porno magazines." You forgot the state psychiatric hospital - another great reason to make it a travel destination. Poor Evanston.
