well Ive only seen saw 4 but Id say it was a combination tragedy as the hero dies, journey cause in the 4th one the victims go through different rooms & with each room we learn more about their characters & the survivors have learnt a moral about being nice humans. overcoming the monster/quest the jig saw guy hunts down people he considers to be monsters & he overcomes them & if they survive then they learn to be better people and have a new reason to live. Fear & loathing - journey like alice in wonderland & commedy God father is Journey (through time & experience & again maybe tragedy & again overcoming monsters if other gangsters or any one in general who gets in their way is cinsidered the monster
