Oprah is not telling anyone to read this book. They are discussing the contents of a book Eckhart Tolle wrote all about the ego. I used to have a closed mind, too, but when I opened it up I was able to be enlightened to the spiritual help needed in order to maintain healthy relationships with my fellow human beings. The Bible is talking about these things too, but in different words. All spiritual books like this are basically saying the same thing, but coming from different angles. Jesus would approve.
