I am hoping this comment will get to the author. Your book fascinated me for the descriptions of Burma and places I recognised from my own two trips to the country. I have a very vague connection to George Orwell ( see D.J. Taylor's Biography which has a photograph of my Grand father in Syriam in the 1920s) I would love to know if Emma took any photographs on her trip? I have also drawn up quite a detailed Family tree of George Orwell using IOIC records and am trying to put it together with the information you supplied in the book. I hope that you or anybdoy interested in Burma in those pre war years will write to me at this email address.
