The New York Times Bestseller Highlights for the Week of August 2nd 

 For the week of August 2nd, Rocket Men by Craig Nelson (Viking) debuts at #16 on hardcover nonfiction list. In addition, two titles move up to the #1 spot; Tailspin by Catherine Coulter (Jove) is #1 on the mass market bestseller list in its second week; and Listen to the Wind by Greg Mortenson and Susan L. Roth (Dial) is #1 on the children's picture books list in its 26th week.

Here are more New York Times bestseller highlights:

On the hardcover fiction list, Black Hills by Nora Roberts (G.P. Putnam's Sons) is #3 in its second week; The Help by Kathryn Stockett (Amy Einhorn Books/ Putnam) moves up to #8 in its sixteenth week; and Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris (Ace) is #12 in its eleventh week.

On the hardcover nonfiction list, The Girls from Ames by Jeffrey Zaslow (Gotham) is #12 in its twelfth week.

On the trade paperback fiction list, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (Riverhead) is #14 in its 212th week; Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon (Penguin) is #15 in its fourth week; In the Woods by Tana French is #19 in its 22nd week; and The Likeness by Tana French (Penguin) is #20 in its sixth week.

On the mass market fiction list, Hidden Currents by Christine Feehan (Jove) is #5 in its third week; Moscow Rules by Daniel Silva (Signet) moves up to #7 in its third week; and Ace's Charlaine Harris lands seven titles this week: Dead Until Dark at #4 in its 34th week; From Dead to Worse at #6 in its fifteenth week; Living Dead in Dallas at #11 in its 28th week; Club Dead at #12 in 20th week; and Dead to the World at #15 in its fourteenth week; Dead As a Doornail is # 16 in its eighth week; and Definitely Dead is #18 in its eighth week.

On the paperback nonfiction list, Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin (Penguin) is #2 in its 129th week; In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan (Penguin) is #10 in its twelfth week;Public Enemies by Bryan Burrough (Penguin) is #11 in its sixth week; Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert (Penguin) is #14 in its 130th week; and The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan (Penguin) is #15 in its 96th week.

On the paperback advice, how-to, and miscellaneous list, A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle (Plume) #10 in its 57th week.

In the young readers sector, on the children's picture books list, Llama Llama Misses Mama, written and illustrated by Anna Dewdney, (Viking) is #12 in its twelfth week; and Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy by David Soman and Jacky Davis (Dial) is #9 in its eighteenth week. On the children's chapter books list, Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen (Viking) is #2 in its fifth week; and Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher (Razorbill) is #4 in its 39th week. On the children's paperback books list, Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen (Speak) is #5 in its tenth week; and Three Cups of Tea: Young Readers Edition by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin (Puffin) is #6 in its 26th week.
