Born in San Francisco in 1951, Cat Bordhi spent part of her early childhood in a small village on the edge of the Black Forest in Germany, where she became utterly enchanted with nature. Returning later to the U.S., she continued to cherish, explore, and learn from her natural surroundings. She was educated at the Universities of California, Santa Barbara, and Western Washington. With dual careers as a textile artist and award-winning schoolteacher, she currently resides in the Pacific Northwest.
