Ann Sutherland Harris received her Ph.D. at the Courtauld Institute and is currently Professor of the History of Art and Architecture at the University of Pittsburgh. A specialist in Italian and French seventeenth-century art, her publications include Andrea Sacchi, Selected Drawings by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, and (with Linda Nochlin) Women Artists, 1550–1950, as well as numerous articles and reviews.
