Geoffrey Hill was born in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, in 1932, and taught for many years at the universities of Leeds and Cambridge.
He has lived in the USA since 1988, and is Professor of Literature and Religion at Boston University. His most recent books are Speech! Speech!, Canaan and The Triumph of Love, both published by Penguin, who also publish his Collected Poems.
