Susan Gaber has illustrated many
books for children, including The Woman Who Flummoxed the Fairies by
Heather Forest (an ABA Pick of the List selection), and Bit by Bit (Philomel Books) by Steve Sanfield.
She felt an affinity toward Jordi and his story, not only because she herself has a fondness for solitude, but also because she often finds herself being
drawn to spiritual things.
She lives in Huntington, New York, with her husband and their son.
