An American of Croatian descent, Chuck Sudetic covered the collapse of Yugoslavia and the war in Bosnia for the New York Times from 1990-95. His story on the Srebrenica massacre for Rolling Stone magazine was a finalist for a National Magazine Award in 1996. Currently a political analyst for the International Crisis Group, Sudetic has lived in Belgrade for eight years.
